Exam Time


Just a reminder that if you leave an exam at 1st dismissal, only the library and the cafeteria are available to you.  Students are still taking exams so you may not go in the hallways. We need to be respectful of those who are using the time and let them concentrate.  Library and cafeteria only, not the hallways.


Career and Tech Programs

On Thursday, January 31st you have the opportunity to visit 1 of 13 different Career and Technical Education programs offered throughout Midland County. During these visits you will see what the day to day activities are, learn more about career specific skills and understand how these classes count towards your high school graduation requirements and post-secondary credits. Sign up in the counseling office!


Finance Club

Come to Dow High Finance Club today after 6th and 7th hour in Mr. Richards room, room  306. We'll talk about a variety of key finance topics as well as high net worth individuals like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates and afterwards we'll play Kahoot!  

Tacos Tacos Tacos!

Attention Go Green! We have a meeting today after 7th hour in room 220, bring a friend!

Go green will be hosting a Taco-Get-Together on Wednesday between 3rd and 4th hour exams starting at 10:30! We will be meeting in the OA lounge. See you there, everyone is welcome!


Tired of exams? Want to relax and take a break in between classes? MIA has got you covered! MIA will hosting "testing and de-stressing" sessions in between finals from Tuesday to Thursday  in Mrs Snyder's room 303. There will be games, Mario kart, snacks, and more to help you through this week. See you there!

Drama Club

Attention anyone interested in joining The drama club for this year's spring musical, Cinderella:

Audition packets will be available in the choir room starting today after 3rd hour. Please grab a packet if you are interested in auditioning.

Additionally, we will be having an informational meeting after 7th hour on Wednesday, January 23rd in the choir room. We will discuss details concerning auditions as well as general logistics regarding the production. Anyone interested in participating in the spring musical is encouraged to attend.

Please note that ALL THESPIANS are required to be at this meeting as there will also be a Thespian meeting immediately following.

Have you got Talent?

Can you or someone you know juggle? How about solve a rubix cube? Sing, dance, or act too? If you answered yes to any of those questions that you should audition for the first ever Dow High´s got talent show. Auditions will be held on January 30-31st from 2:30-5:00 in the little theater. If you have any questions please contact Rihana Syed and Maya Al-Ahmad.¨

This Monday at 3:30, grab some friends (or make some new ones), a head of iceberg lettuce, and get ready to LEAF your worries behind! Join us in Ms. Bonotto’s room, room 367, and be part of the CHILLEST club in Dow high! It’s so easy, bring your own head of iceberg lettuce and show up to room 367 ready to eat. Just like that, you become part of THE club with MORE ICEBERGS than Canada club, MORE CHILL than Alpine Club, MORE VEGETATION than Go Green, MORE HEADS than the MRD and chess club combined, and a healthier DIET than Club Med. LETTUCE MEET! (Friends and salad dressing optional).



Dow Varsity Cheer


Over the weekend the varsity cheer team had an all time best score of their season. The girls

placed 2nd in the Dow invitational beating Midland High by 20 points and 4 other schools including:

Western, John Glenn, Mt. pleasant, and Vassar. Go Dow!




Over the weekend, the Charger hockey team played hard but lost twice.  On Friday, the hockey team lost to 5th ranked Woodhaven; 6-1. Austin ieuter scored with assists going to Joey Johnson and Shane Astrike.


On Saturday the team lost to Utica Eisenhower; 3-1.  Joey Johnson scored with the assist going to Shane Astrike.


The Chargers' next game is this Saturday at home versus Troy




Varsity Boys won 30-0 against Flint High Jaguars.  Matt Bartels had a high game of 177 and Bruce Matthews a 173.


Varsity girls also won against Flint High Jaguars with a score 26-4. Winning both Baker games.   Peterson games were won by Samantha Klein 2, Alora Marshall 1, Brenna Prince 1, Allison Leslie 1 and Rebecca White 1.  High games were Rebecca White 173 & 137, Samantha Klein a 139 and Allison Leslie a 135.


We will bowl against Flint Powers on Tuesday at Monitor Lanes.

No Sporting Events tonight.
